WTFriday…I have a China!

This WTFriday is a funny one:

Waking up in the morning is hard but today it was not so difficult.

My son usually wakes up around the time my husband leaves to take my daughter to school. This morning he got up about 5 minutes before all of our alarms. That 5-minutes is a lot of time when it comes to sleep. I was dreading the wake up and then this little happy guy comes in and says something that just made my whole day. Continue reading

2-years after InterStim Surgery

I have not updated in a long time about my InterStim so I thought, since it has almost been 2-years, I would write a quick post about it.

In one week it will be one year since I started stage one. I had no idea two years ago if I would be sitting here now with a success story. There was very limited information a couple years ago on the procedure and there was virtually no personal stories out there either. I had to go on faith and chance.

So far for me it has been a great success. The incontinence is still gone and I do not feel the stimulation anymore, at all. There has been only two times, in two years, that I have had to turn my InterStim off. The reason was the same both times. Continue reading

Buying tablets for Christmas?

Visual Land Prestige 7L Tablet

Are you looking for a tablet Christmas? Especially one for a child? Well if you are, like I was/am, then I want to share my review on the Visual Land Prestige 7L tablet. I bought a pink and a blue one. In fact, this has made me so mad I posted a review on Amazon as well…so here is my review I left on Amazon!

I bought 2 of these tablets, a blue one and a pink one on October 15, 2012. They were to be Holiday gifts for my kids but we decided to give them early, due to a long drive we wanted to take on November 8,2012. By November 19, 2012 the blue one will not boot all the way up. It freezes with the Continue reading

Balsam Hill Holiday Wreath Review

I have been trying to expand my Holiday decorations for the last few years. When you don’t stay in one place for long, it is a big pain in the butt to move so many things. I have gotten rid of a lot of things in my life, and my Holiday decorations have been a sacrifice.

Now that I am more settled I have been looking for new decorations that look good, are affordable, and will last. I found Balsam Hill and browsed around and found this Baby Redwood Wreath. It looked very pretty on the web page, and I thought it was worth a try.

So I got my wreath in the mail and might I add Continue reading

EatSmart Digital Scale Review and Giveaway!

Giveaway is at the end of the post via Rafflecopter!

Review:

I have been searching for a digital scale for a long time. My eyes are not the greatest anymore and it is hard as heck to squint to read an old dial scale. I have to bend over to see the little notches and that is with my glasses on. Yes I am old, I know, but it drives me nuts. The biggest problem is that when I squat down to check the numbers, the hand bounce back and forth and I have a hard time getting a good read.

So about 6 months ago I bought a very inexpensive scale from a local store and ti was about $9.99. I was happy to get one so cheap but the problem is that it was “cheap.” It read so inconsistent. I could stand on it and it would read an umber and then step on and off again and it would read different almost every time. I neve3r felt like I was being weighed properly.

So then I found EatSmart and I told them I was int he market for an accurate scale. I was DONE with my cheap crappy scales. They told me about a new scale that just came out and it is called the Precision Tracker Bathroom Scale. I was skeptical at first, because my luck with scales is not good. However I have to say that this scale is pretty darn accurate. Continue reading
