Who has advice about this migration, don’t know what to do now!

I hope you will share!

OK so someone explain this to me because I am totally confused.

From photobucket
Two weeks a go I created a free word press blog and literally this is all I did:

Made 5 categories on my blog

Wrote ONE practice post that said “practice post.”

I went in again today and wrote another test post and when I went into publish it it said my blog was removed because I violated the terms of service.

You can imagine my face at this point because all I can think is, “I have not posted anything yet so how could I do that?”

My reasoning for even playing around with word press is because of my fear of my blog(s) being deleted because my hosting service does not like it. As you know some blog hosts are known for marking blogs as spam for no reason. I THOUGHT word press was a safer host but now I am not so sure.

How can my blog get deleted when I had only one post that said “practice” and I did not even have any followers yet!

Maybe this is the sign I need to stay with blogger. Anyone else out there have this issue over nothing. Anyone else worried all the time that you will wake up one morning with a deleted blog, ARGH!! Why does this have to be so difficult, it’s just a blog!

Anyone, advice please!!!!

I had one of my Free wordpress blogs removed as it looked spammy to THem as I just posted bits of info and lots of links.. it didn't matter that the blog was private and it was for my own reference. My kids journal on wordpress has been running fine since 2005.. however for my own I've been using self hosted WP and never looked back on that.
It's not that difficult to switch to self host from blogger and I can help wal;k you through.

I think the best option in the future is going to be the paid to host word press plug in. I am searching a lot and getting a lot of comments on my other as well and they can't touch a paid word press account. So I think this summer I will probably jsut pay for the plu in and self-host my blog.

I am tired of others having control over what I say, aren't we suppose to have free speach?

Since you told me about your problem with wordpress…. I too think I will stay with blogger. The problem is…. blogger has already deleted a couple of my blogs. I have no idea why and they don't care to tell me. If you read the rules…. they can delete any time they want. Kinda sucks!!

I do have a wordpress blog but don't have much posted on it because I can't figure it out.

A couple weeks ago when Blogger was having a seizure I uploaded WordPress to my server and that's where it sits. I had heard that some blogs were being deleted and that the content was owned by blogger, not me, so I thought no better time than the present. Of course, I'm afraid of change. More importantly, I can't find a template I like. Anyway, I don't know why it would be deleted unless you had ads on it, I know with the free WP (not hosted elsewhere) you can't run ads. That's all I know. Good luck!

I haven't seen that before. But i refused to completely move to WP cause I couldn't take my design with me and I just wouldn't part with it.

I am not sure how that is possible since your blog didn't have any content. It could just be an issue on their end. I would shoot them an email or check out the FAQ page. I haven't had any issues since I moved to WordPress. I really hope it works out for you!
