Christmas Decoration Workout

I hope you will share!

DSC00811I decided it was time to take down the Christmas decorations. Our living room is too small to keep them up much longer, or trust me I would keep them up all of January because I LOVE the lights.

I was trying to figure out how to enhance the whole take down process, by making it a better workout. I already have to run up and down the stairs it least 12-15 times so I decided to add more resistance to the process and put on some 5-pound leg weights, well each leg had 5-pounds in it and these are the weights I use and love Valeo AW10 10-Pound Adjustable Ankle / Wrist Weightsand 1.5-pound arm weights, each arm is 1.5 and I use these too, and love themThera-band comfort fit weight one pair - 2 x 1.5lb per cuff - Green. That may not sound like a  lot but after a few hours of running, lifting and climbing, it sure does take its toll.

Then after the tree came down I decided to keep the workout going and take the kids outside and make a snowman. Well first I shoveled all the snow off the trampoline as it was better packing snow then the fresh powder that was on the ground. That may not sound too hard but because we have and enclosure on our trampoline I had to shovel it and walk it to the opening and throw it out. I was not able to just broom it off…which would have been a lot easier, but in the end we got a cute snowman and the kids are so happy, an Mommy burned some calories, so win-win!

Worn out kids = happy Mom!!

So I got a real good, all day workout and we all crashed hard that night and the house is clean and the trampoline is ready for a sunny day, even in the snow. Hay as long as it’s dry on top then I guess I have another workout to do, but a fun one! Learning that pretty much anything can turn into a workout. I think that when I jump on the trampoline again I am going to add the arm and leg weights and see what that does. I don’t think it could hurt but how knows. I will keep you updated! Happy New Year!
