It seems that every holiday weekend gas prices climb to obscene levels and it makes me so mad. It is really not very fair that gas prices hike up on weekends when people put more miles on their cars. This has been happening for years, and I know it will keep happening.
Groceries have gone up, as a whole, too and this is frustrating as wages have not. However I have noticed over the last few years that it least the grocery stores seem to put items on sale when they know they are going to be popular.
I have noticed this for Easter, and always find eggs for .99cent to $1.00 at pretty much every grocery.
I have been shopping a bit over the last 5 days and these are a few things I have found on sale. Some may not be on sale anymore, but most of this I have seen in the last 48 hours so I thought I would share.
Butter usually $3.49 each now 2 for $5.00 (Kroger)
Shredded cheese usually around $2.29 per bag, now 2 for $4.00 (Kroger)
Powdered sugar usually around $2.29 each, now 2 for $4.00 (Kroger)
Eggs usually over $1.00, now .99cent a dozen (Meijer)
Milk usually around $3.00, now 2 for $5.00 (Meijer)
Blackberry packs usually 2 for $4.00 or 2 for $5.00 and I got them 2 for $1.00 (Meijer)
This is just to name a few. I have stocked up on these products, and other sale products, as most will last for awhile. The eggs, not so much, but the butter and sugar will definitely carry me through the Christmas holidays.
So as much as I dislike the expensive groceries, on a whole, I do appreciate the fact that it least the popular items to tend to go on sale at the festive time of year.
Are you finding any good deals you would like to share?
Thanks for stopping by!
