It is funny how every generation has their own style of music. I remember being young and thinking, “there is not way I am gong to like old people’s music.” Well if the 80’s is considered “old people’s music” then I guess I am old!
The older I get, the more appreciation I have for all types of music and here is why…
Everyone has that “style” or “song” that puts that smile on their face and the “glazed” look in their eye, and you know that there is one awesome memory that has just popped in their head. You know the song, we all have it least one. I think I have about 100! LOL
I was sitting somewhere one day, not exactly sure where, but I remember what I was thinking. I was thinking “all music is cool, as you never know which song you hear has a beautiful memory for someone.” Since then I have a lot more tolerance for different types and I have noticed myself looking around, when the music is on, to see if I can catch someone with that “look” in their eye. I wonder what is going on in the peoples minds around me.
This may seem corny but hay, I am a bit corny so I can handle it. I may be “old” according to my5 year old daughter, but that does not mean I do not like some of the current music out there. Just think of the memories it is making for this generation. Music is definitely cool!
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

I guess we are bothnold...lol!! I like all types of music.
Tawan... according to your 5 year old daughter, I am old too. How funny she is. But, I remember thinking my Mom and Dad were old too and they were younger than I am.
I grew up with music blaring on an old record player my Dad had. Now that I am older.... I love peace and quiet.
I like all types of music. But the one type that the kids make fun of me are the broadway tunes. I was watching Hello Dolly this past weekend and I asked my son if he wanted to watch it with me, he ran from the room. LOL
