I have been to many restaurants over the past few years with my little kids and you know that there is always a diaper to be changed. You can spend all day at home and the kids are dry and clean…as soon as you get to the restaurant, BAM, they need a change.
There have been a few places, not a lot, but a few that have neglected to have a diaper changing station. My last visit to one that didn’t, really just fueled my fire.My son had a real big blow out in the car and we ran into Wendy’s because it was the closest place with a bathroom. I got him and my daughter in the bathroom and NO changing table. I was so mad. Come on! Fast food restaurants are kid magnets, why the heck would they NOT have changing tables in the bathroom?
My son’s diaper was so bad, I had to do something. So there me and my 5-year old change my sons diaper while he stands. This would no be a big deal if he were just wet, but I was not that lucky. It was a mess and he screamed and cried the whole time and I left even more pissed then when I got there. I should have just ripped the car seat our and lay him in the seat of the car.
So here is my plea to all restaurants, nice or fast food…if you want us to come and we need to bring the kids then please have a changing station!
