I have said before how we do to say the word CAN’T in this house and now that we have had our can’t “funeral.” I hear it everywhere, including in my kids, feel good and learning cartoons.
Aren’t these types of kids. cartoon suppose to be uplifting and make them feel good about themselves, by learning? Well then why am I hearing can’t in about every 2nd or 3rd sentence?
My kids watch a lot of PBS and their cartoons are great. They really do help my children learn and I do not have to worry about what kind of content they have. They are not beating each other up and getting hit by a 1000 pound weight but they are saying the word can’t…and a lot!
Some of the shows that I have watched, just this week, that are saying it are Sesame street, Dragon Tales, and Barney. There are more but these are the titles I remember right now. Most of these shows are not new and are re-runs. So may I ask the writers of theses shows to please take this word out of the new cartoons? Your cartoons are great, but could improve by taking this one little word out…CAN’T.
It is funny because every time one of these shows or any show says it my daughter yells, “Mom they said a bad word!” I say “yes they did ear, glad you caught that!”
