There are so many ways to raise your social media following, or so it seems. I have been wondering for awhile if all these platforms are really worth it and to tell you the truth, not finding it so.

I probably make mac-n-cheese in my house about once a month…maybe less actually. I was at a family members house last week and she made my kids mac-n’-cheese and what was said got me thinking.

OK so I created a Facebook group where we are going to commit to 25 push-ups a day for 7 days. Starts Sunday 7/29/12 and runs thru Sunday August 5th. Anyone who wants to do it please FB friend me and then message me you want to be part of the group. 25 push-ups a day, any kind. You do them all at once or break them up during the day…that’s it.
The whole purpose is to get myself and others thinking about their health one push-up at a time. If…I mean when we complete it them maybe we can make it 50 next time.

It is one thing to get grey hair but it is quite another when those grey hairs start sneaking up everywhere. I am a hair plucker. I get them on my face and neck and it seems the older I get, the more I am plucking out.
Now the grey has seeped into my eyebrows. May not seem like a big deal but I have tried to die them and they don’t die as well as the hair on my head do. it only lasts about a week and those nasty straw like greys are sticking out of my eyebrows…yuck! I know this is my second day in a row for cakes, but here you go anyway!
I wanted to make both my kids birthday cakes. My step-daughter and my oldest daughter are only a week apart in birthdays so we did a family party together as we were heading to Disney World a week later. The friend parties would be when we got back.
I watched DC cupcakes on NetFlix and saw a beautiful bouquet cake they made out of cupcakes. I decided to do two of these, one for each of them. It really wasn’t too hard. Continue reading
If you have been following my blog for awhile you already know that I have been teaching myself how to do cakes for the past 2-years. Cakes are a lot of money to fork out on birthdays and other occasions and I knew I could figure it out. They are time consuming, and you have to have lot’s of patience to do them, but if you can grasp those two things then you can definitely make cakes on your own.
My daughter wanted a princess party. I wanted to make a princess cake. Since we surprised her with Disney World for her birthday, the theme was perfect.
I found a castle topper on Amazon 
and it was under $20 so I ordered it. Love prime shipping because I got it within 2 days!

I have danced for years and now my daughter dances. The dress code at her dance school is a leotard tights, and hair in a bun. 
Even though I have danced for pretty much ever, I have found myself to be bun illiterate.
My daughter’s hair is exactly like mine was…thick and long. It is so heavy to put up that most options and up dos I have tried myself have failed miserably. I have found a great product, through many trial and errors so I thought I would share. Continue reading
