I need a 3rd job to be able to afford a movie in the theater!
I am a movie buff and I do love going to the theater but now that I am a stay-at-home Mom with one income the movie theater sees a whole lot less of me. We are lucky if we see one movie a year. I used to think that I missed the theater a lot but the last time we went to a movie and it cost my husband and me about $40 to go, I wondered why the heck I go to the theater anymore. Why….well there are many reasons.
First off we have Netflix, a big screen TV with surround sound, HD and a blue ray player. It is a pretty sweet movie experience at my house. My husband is a techy geek and we may not have a lot of money but he knows how to “rig” things u for a lot less and we have worked on it over the past few years.
My Netflix account is under $15 a month and I get instant access and unlimited DVDs per month. I can make my own popcorn for a small fraction of the price of movie popcorn (and a whole lot healthier) and we can pause the movie to put the kids to bed etc. and we don’t have to pay a babysitter.
We went to see a movie in the theater and the tickets now were $10.50 per person…seriously! We hardly go so we sprung for popcorn and a drink, to share mind you, and we spent another $15-$20. I was irritated by then but we don’t do it much so I let it go. We watched the movie and it was not that great. I was more irritated. We spent about $40 to eat cold popcorn and sat in a theater with someone’s kid kicking the back of my seat the whole time (the parents did not seem to care) and listen to others chew their stinking popcorn with their mouths open (my hubby included) and the movie was not that great.
If I would have netflixed the movie when it came out on DVD, which does not take that long anymore, I could have done all of this for under $5 for the whole family and I could have turned the movie off and went o the next one or left and let my hubby finish it and did something productive.
I am not getting paid by Netflix to post this at all; this is simply just my opinion only. I do love and swear by Netflix and recommend it to everyone! The next movie I will see in the theater is Harry Potter’s last and that may be the last theater movie for me for a really long time. There is seriously no reason in this world the theater needs to charge so stinking much for the movie experience. It is a freaking joke!

When it’s my fault, I will take ownership and change it!
But it was!
There have been many times that I have felt irritated because I have let myself think that I was/am on this positive thinking journey by myself. I came to realize in the last few weeks that most of this was my fault (about 90%). Let me explain….
When I first started this journey, I was mad all the time and who we are always mad at first…our husbands, or wife if you are male and married, or significant other depending on your relationship.
Everything came crashing down (read my who’s Tawna tab for the full story and first blog post), and it seems that humans tend to want to always blame those closest to them because we want to put the weight on someone else’s shoulders because we do not want to own up to our own issues. We all have issues, right?
Anyway, when I first started this journey I blamed my husband for pretty much everything. This stemmed from what I could not do because of money, time etc. If I had a bad day, you name it I blamed him. It was all this daily negativity that made me feel like we would not make it and I was miserable. I kept this journey secret as well. I am not totally sure why I did but I think it had a lot to do with the “blame game” I was playing with him.
It was harder at first to change anything and I really do believe, passionately” that this had everything to do with my attitude. It was not until a few weeks ago when I shared my vision chart with him and started communicating my journey with him that things started to change and a lot!
Last night we had a great positive conversation about goals, dreams, etc. We have been working out together for a couple weeks now and it seems to be getting easier to talk about anything and everything.
See…the problem was that I was not letting him in and giving him the benefit of the doubt that he could do this with me. I had to release my negativity towards him to let him in and things have been 100% better. There are many times when things start getting negative that I can stop and say “quit being so negative, I don’t want that in our home.” This allows us to talk through our problems or concerns and figure them out. Because he knows about my journey he is not taking it too personal and getting frustrated with me.
We have been a lot more cuddly and passionate with each other and we are truly starting to enjoy each other as each other’s best friend. Attitude is everything! I always said it in the past but now I truly believe it! It all starts with me!

German pancakes rock!
We really try to eat healthy every day on our house but we do have one day a week that we indulge in our favorite breakfast food, German pancakes. They are so good.
This is not my picture, but this is what it looks like!
Beat 6 eggs and then add 1 cup of milk and beat more. Mix in a pinch of salt and tsp of vanilla and a cup of flour. Don’t over mix but mix until only small lumps are present.
In the oven in a 9×13 pan melt 5 TB of butter. We use unsalted butter.
Watch the butter and make sure it does not burn and remove when melted. Pour the pancake mixture into the pan and do not mix it into the butter. We sprinkle pure ground cinnamon on the top of ours and then put it in the over at 425 degrees for 14-17 minutes.\
It puffs up and is so cool! It also tastes great.
It may not be the healthiest things to eat but it has more protein then regular pancakes so that is a plus!

This is my picture. It is very yummy. The sides grow a few inches but they go down pretty fast so it is hard to get a picture of it. I hope you will try it so you can see how cool it is!
Put syrup, Peanut Butter or Jam on it, or eat it plain. Yummy!

How do you feel today?!
I know that there have been lots of times int he past that I have let my attitude bring down my health. What i mean by that is that there are days that I have literally talked myself into feeling horrible because I told myself enough times that I did not feel good, or that I would not feel good. Can you guess what the outcome was when I did that? Well..I felt like crap and did not get anything accomplished that day.
We have strong minds that can make us or break us. I know there are days that we will feel down and sick but I strongly believe that there would be less days if we were more positive.
Since I have started this journey to a more positive me I have noticed that I have only been sick about 3-4 days all year. That is pretty sweet if you ask me. Positive attitude really works!

It hurts to put deodorant on AND had a rough workout last night!
I posted this picture I found on photobucket because this is how I felt about my workout yesterday:) LOLWe are week 5 of P90X and the chest, shoulders and triceps workout is a killer and a half!
Mine and my husbands chest and arms are so sore that when I put deodorant on in hurts and I don’t like it one bit. Everything in my upper chest and upper arms is so sensitive right now.
We had yoga scheduled for the daily workout and with dinner, kids, and my hubby needing to get some work done at home we could not even start the workout until 10:30pm. Yoga X is 90 minutes long so we were into this work out until midnight. I did NOT want to work at all yesterday and I actually told my husband I was not going to do it. It is a really good thing he has started this program with me because he went ahead and started the Yoga and after 10 minutes of listening to him I felt really guilty and got my mat and went and did it with him.
I wish I could tell you that it was all rainbows and fairies and everything was awesome but that was seriously the hardest workout I have ever done. I fought being super tired, super duper sore, and my mind was not into it at all. I did finish it and did feel good that I did, but I was so ready for bed and I crashed.
I woke up this morning and I am happy that I did not miss a day yesterday, it was a rough day. A huge thanks goes to my husband because without him I would NOT have worked out when I needed to yesterday, I know that for a fact.
Today is Legs, Back and Ab ripper. I am sore but we will still do it. Unfortunately it will be another late night, but that is the breaks, we are on a mission. Not just a mission to complete the workouts in full but rather a mission of getting ourselves in shape and healthy. It would be way too easy to make and excuse to not work out because of being too sore and being too late.
Still loving the P90X even though I have mental issues every now and then. I feel better then I have in a long time because of it and because I have someone doing it with me.

My hubby’s before P90X pictures!
We are now on week 4 of P90X and I have to say that this is a pretty brutal week! We did Chest, shoulders, and triceps today with Ab Ripper and OMG it was rough! My husband started week 4 with me and I took some pictures of him and talked him in to letting me put his picture on here. We are going to the end of the 90 days together now which is so cool!
My daughter of course had to be involved to and asked me to post her’s too. She does the workouts with us every day, it is so cute!
Bring on the rest of week 5, we are ready!

I like this quote but am on the fence whether or not is is the best quote for me to think about today. Does this go against my positive LOA? Isn’t the whole point of positive LOA to feel like you already have something in order to attract it. Am I attracting money away with this quote? Hmmmm, deep thought! What do you think?
