I WILL finish Yoga today, and I WILL like it!

I have been on a weight loss journey for 15 months and have started the P90X work outs and am in week 2. I love them all, even though they kick my butt except for the Yoga X. Ugh that is so hard and I have to say that I only made it 60 of the 90 minutes last Thursday. I am stating an intention today!
Universe:
I appreciate and am grateful for so many things and today I am especially grateful for my wonderful weight loss success! I am especially grateful that my body is able to go through these awesome P90X work outs and am excited an motivated to do the full 90 minutes Yoga X today!
I can and will do it in its entirety and I will feel great and will be stronger when I am finished.
I will have a positive attitude and appreciate the fact that I am able to do this today and seek wonderful results fro it!
UPDATE!
I did it , I did it, I DID IT!
I just finished the full 909 minutes of Yoga X and I am so stinking proud of myself!
I kept saying in my head over and over “I love this work out, it makes me feel great!” There were a dozen times as I was sitting in downward facing dog position I could hear that little voice in my head say “ah this hurts, I want to….” and then I would fore myself and say “keep going!” Then I would say out loud “This work out rocks and will make me strong!” I am serious when I say about a dozen times I had to do this but it worked.
At 45 minutes left, of the DVD, I stopped and paused the DVD and stood there thinking, “I could so totally stop this and blog that I made it and no one would know.” After about 10 minutes of pacing the floor I looked into the bathroom mirror and said “you are strong damn it get your ass back in there and finish cuz YOU will know!” I went back in a finished the last 45 minutes of the DVD.
I actually like the last 45 minutes better then the first 45 minutes anyway. I would have never known that if I did not go back in and finish.
So I DID IT! Yay me!

Not ever doing my own taxes again!
I have always been the one in the relationship that has to do the taxes and I HATE IT!
I miss the old days when I could do the 1040 EZ form over the phone in less then 6 minutes. That was the time I did my own taxes and LOVED IT!
Now we have a half a dozen of forms to fill out and I get so confused and stressed out for days and I am always wondering “did I do them right?”
This year we had 2 more forms to add to our list and I did not feel comfortable at all doing the taxes myself. My husband was really pushing me to not take them into H&R Block because with all the forms it was going to cost almost $500 but I just knew I would be hating him and be mad for 3 weeks while I got them done if we didn’t.
Well I got my way and my husband is happy because we got about $1,000 back more then normal AFTER the $500 we paid for them. I knew I was dong them wrong!
Now I am taking in my taxes from last year and paying the $30 to have the same lady go through them and do the amendments if we will get more back!
I am in no way shape or form getting any payment or credit for giving H&R Block this plug, I am just truly happy I did not do my taxes this year and will seriously not EVER do them myself again until I am back on the EZ form or they get rid of taxes all together!

P90X, the beginning of week 2
I am writing these posts on the actual day I work out but there may be posted on different days due to other postings as I only like to post once a day.
Today was the beginning of week two. I made it through week one and am so proud of myself. I have met and heard from others that did not even make it through the first work out or the first week so I am glad I did it.
I will probably post a couple times a week now as now it is the same work outs every day until the end of week 3. After that I believe it changes them up a bit and we will see what postings will suffice then.
I did chest and back today and I kept a record, as Tony says over and over, and I did more reps on everything! On a handful I made myself do just one more rep but on about 2/3 of the sets I actually did between 3-5 more. This went for push-ups, band pull-ups etc. I was very excited since I have only been doing this a week so far. I am already stronger and more able to do this work out after only 1 week, whihoo!
It even went buy a lot faster for me. I did not dread every single set and have energy afterwards.
I will tell you that the Kenpo I did yesterday, was so much fun but today I woke up the sorest I have been all week. OMG I had a hard time getting up this morning. However, after the first 3 sets of chest and back today, I no longer felt the soreness and 10 minutes after the work out (now) I still feel good.
I can’t wait to see how I do on the Yoga this week. That will for sure be my next post unless I have the urge to post about P90X before then. So far I have loved every work out but the Yoga.

Microwave saftey, who’d thought?!
Did anyone else know that microwaves have child safety built in? I did not know and especially did not expect this from our 15 year old microwave.
My 17 month old son has just become tall enough to hit the buttons on the little island we have it sitting on. There is just no other place to put it.
I find him, daily, hitting the buttons because he like to hear the “beep” sound. I have always worried, not that he will start it, but that he will figure out how to open it when he is a few more inches, and who knows what he will put in there.
The other day my husband said “why does is say CHILD on the microwave?” I did not even understand what he meant by that at all. I said “what, do you have your glasses on?” He told me to go look at the microwave and sure enough, where the numbers usually are it said “Child.” Look….
Wow! I had no idea but I guess when so many buttons get hit at one certain time the microwave actually locks and displays the child name, how cool!
We tried hitting clear and pressing pretty much every button and the ONLY way we got it to clear was to unplug it and plug it back in.
I guess Panasonic is getting s free plug on my blog today because I love this feature!
Does anyone else have this on their microwave? Please share!

P90X Day 7
I absolutely did not have time on day 6 to do the Kenpo due to many obligations. Saturday’s are busy days for us and we literally did not stop from 6:30am til 11:30 pm. I was dead. Instead of getting frustrated and stopping (because I did not complete the Kenpo) I merely compromised and used day 6 as my rest day and then got up Sunday morning, ate breakfast, put the baby down for his nap, and completed my day 6 Kenpo on my day 7.The biggest point, I did NOT quit!This work out is my favorite. I LOVE this work out big time. It was fun and I seat like a big dog but did not get frustrated throughout and it seemed go by a lot faster then other P90X work outs. Kempo is cool.
I did do measurements today and have had a small loss. A loss is a loss and I will take it regardless of how small. I am not posting a picture because I know it is not significant enough to see so here are the measurements, all in inches.
Day ONE measurements 1-31-11
Bust: 41 inches
Under bust: 36 inches
Waist: 41 inches
C-section scar: 42 inches
Hips: 44 3/4 inches
Thighs (1): 24 3/4 inches
Arm: 12 inches
Day 7 2-6-11
Bust: 41
Under bust: 36 1/4 up 1/ 4 (this could just be not measuring he exact same the first time too) hard to tell, it’s hard to see the tape some times) lol
Waist: 41
C-section: 42
Hips: 44 1/2-lost 1/4 inch
Thigh: 24 1/2-lost 1.4 inch
Arm: 12 1/2-up 1/2 inch (measured of all the this 3 times) Probably because of all the weight training in P90X) I am confident this will drop soon!
So I am down in the hips and thighs and up in the arm. I will take it. The biggest success is that I have had so much energy and I feel great. It is nice to have energy to play with the kids and clean the house and do a work out all in the same day. So far loving this work out for the most part (except for the Yoga, as you know:)
