Right now I am thankful for all the caring and kindness I’ve been shown over the last week when my father passed away. Wednesday the 16th is our birthday – a day, honestly, I’ve been dreading, since it will be my first on-my-own birthday, ever. But today, a friend and his parents gave me a live oak tree to plant in his honor as my pre-birthday gift, and nothing could have been more meaningful to me.
