Blogger or Word Press?

I hope you will share!

Photobucket
I am posting this on all my blogs today because I am seriously thinking about making a change but need advice first.

How many of you have moved from Blogger to Word Press? If so I have questions!

1.  Do you GFC followers come with the export of the blog or do you start at 0 followers and if not how hard was it for you to get your followers over with you? Did you get a decent amount to join the new blog?

2.  Is the advertising incentive better then AdSense? I may a few cents a day on AdSense but it is not great.

3.  I know that comment luv works better on word press (I had to uninstall mine) but what other features make it worth it?

4.  It’s not like I am only blogging for money, seriously but it would be nice to make a little profit off of it, Since we are a one income family. Everything on my blog is honest and from the heart and I just think there has got to be a better incentive out there.

5. Last but not least, tell me everything and anything that will help me decide on whether or not to stay with blogger or export my blog to a word press blog!

6. OK so this one is really last: Was it hard to learn the new word press things for template, posting etc?

Thanks!
I know I have the best readers in the world and know I will get lot’s of great input for my decision. I don’t dislike blogger at all, I justt want to compare and make the right decision!

Oh and don’t forget that I am part of a 75 blog March Madness giveaway, I hope you will enter all 3 of my giveaways and many others. Only open til March 20th! Visit my march Madness TAB on my blog!!

Cheers!

I actually moved to Blogger from wordpress. For me Blogger is a lot easier to use. I could never figure out anything on wordpress. I like the layouts and the simplicity of Blogger a lot better, but if you're good at figuring things out and using tutorials to fix things then I'm sure wordpress would be ok too..

I have used and tried blogger, wordpress and self-hosted wordpress.. I personally find more flexibility with the self hosted one. I think u can google up some tuts on GFC.. to me the opps u get will affect your revenue.. not making much via adsense also.

I haven't used word press, but do like blogger a lot. I think it would be much easier than restarting to keep the present all your blogs look great here. 🙂

I have 2 blogger blogs. Well, had. I just recently moved one from blogger to wordpress to see how difficult it would be and am trying to figure out the right time to move my other blog.

There are tutorials out there to export your GFC without losing any followers. I had only 1 follower (myself) but moving it was very simple.

WordPress has a TON of plug-ins. It can seem overwhelming but there is one out there to do just about anything. Usually if there is something I want to try to attempt I will google "Wordpress Plug In – post to twitter" or something like that and poof! several plug in options will appear. A lot of times I install them, try them out, don't like them and uninstall them.

I also like that you can "reply" to specific comments in wordpress, but blogger they all just go one right after another. (Although I use Disqus comments on both my blogs right now)

I am assuming you will move to a self hosted wordpress blog if you make the jump – I read a post somewhere that compared blogger to renting a house and wordpress self hosted to owning a house. Blogger basically "owns" your blog and can at any time decide they don't want you anymore and delete your blog and you'll lose everything (provided you do not back it up regularly) With self hosted, you own everything and can control what happens to it. Although it is still possible that your host hiccups and loses the blog, it should be easier to restore than if blogger/google decides they don't want you hosted anymore.

I am by no means an expert, but that is what I have learned from making the switch myself with a much smaller blog and from reading up on making the switch.
