Desperate times call for desperate measures!

I hope you will share!

So you all know how my coffee maker broke this weekend along with the tire on my zipper on my favorite jacket.

I found a way to make coffee with my broken peculator (it’s slow but works)! Good thing I don’t have to be at a job in the AM or I wold not be able to make it this way.

Picture first, then I will describe:

I still put the filter in the top and add the coffee. I then put my water in the microwave and heat it to boiling. I then add the water until the top portion is full and then walk away and let it drip through on it’s own. I have to continue to do this over a 20-30 minute time frame and I have to keep heating the water as I do this. I found that if I let the water get too cool it will not drip through the strainer very well. When I get to the last little bit of water it does slow down but I have enough coffee for my two cups so it’s all good!
I know it may seem silly for some, but I can’t afford a coffee maker right now and since I am a stay-at-home Mom it’s not like I don’t have the time to wait for it.
The coffee tastes great and is free from grounds so we are good til I can purchase a new one!
Have a wonderful caffeinated day everyone!

I just set up my blog like a month ago. I would like to ask everyone to come chek it out…

If you have the time can I suggest a french press or "Grecas"? French press is really the best way to make coffee but so few people have the time to make it in the morning. A Grecas is a stove top Espresso maker. You can see them here:

mine broke recently and I went out to buy the cheapest one I could find – from Target. brought it home and it worked one day! had to return that. the one I have now seems to be working, but I know how you feel I just hate having to buy new ones.
