P90X Day 4 Yoga X and OMG!

These posts are being written on the actual day I am working out but may not be posted until a day or two after due to timing and other postings.Yoga is very hard for me right now and I struggled BIG time on this. I wanted to quit so bad so many times and I have to admit that I did about 2/3rds of the way through. This is a 90 minute work out, it is insane.I have been a dancer and used to be able to do Yoga like there was no tomorrow, 90 minutes was not a big deal. Well….I have not dance in years and yoga is hard now and it hurts. For those that think it sounds/looks easy, try it and you will change.

Even though I only did about 2/3rd’s I did do an hour and i still felt good.  Is till hurt…it’s all good. I know that the more I am keeping up with this program that by the end the yoga won;t be so hateful to me.

Here are a few pics of my attempt to stretch and a video of a small move. I will take videos again later to show my progress as I KNOW there will be a ton of progress!

Now don’t get too big of a laugh but here is the video!

Back in my dancing days I would have never thought I would see myself this out of shape and it is hard to even picture myself here now. It is a lot to take in but at least I won’t have to take it in much longer!

    Thanks for the follow. I have gotten really really into Yoga in the last year. Although its not quite traditional Yoga, I have also gotten into Jillian's Yoga Meltdown. Its a fantastic workout!

    I am right there with you on the get-healthy efforts! 🙂

    You will learn to love it! Yoga is my favorite! I try and do my yoga at night though so I can relax.

    I did p90x to lose weight when I had my son. The yoga is long, but I loved that it was like a good stretch in the middle of the week (well, the 2nd half of the work out is).

    You'll love the transformation!!! I'm doing TurboFire currently to lose weight from my 2nd baby 😉

    I researched it for a long time and did not buy it mostly out of fear. Kind of funny now, because no one sees me doing it so why did I care so much and fear it?

    I finally decided, just do it, what is it going to hurt (besides your muscles)? I am glad I have started it now.

    Good for you for making it an hour!! I looooooove Yoga. Luckily I have several short yoga tapes. It would be hard for me to find an hour. And quit being so hard on yourself! 🙂 If you don't already have any short tapes, try Sara Ivanhoe's videos. Love her.
