Yesterday I went to my tap class and they measured us for a jacket for the June show. I just wanted to scream AAAHHH! The measuring tap in front of my peers was so horrifying. I don’t know why I let it get to me, so many past humiliations I guess, but this really bothered me.
When I came home I let it consume me for a long time but something clicked later that night and this morning. I was not the only one in that class that was horrified with the measuring tape. We are all older woman that are all different shapes and sizes. I have a goal and I need to remember that I am working hard for that goal and this is just a stepping stone in that process. I am going to use this as a positive note to drive me even more to achieve my goal of becoming a healthy me! If I don’t do this then I will be back to where I was in high school and I can’t go back there. I WON’T go back there. I have to many people in my life counting on me to be sane and good to myself.
I added another goal this morning. This one is to not fit that jacket when it comes in. I am hoping that I will have to pay someone to have that jacket taken in before the show!
