First of all I need to say I am sorry to the Midwest…it is my fault it keeps snowing.
We keep getting teased with nice weather every other week or so. Last week I was able to watch the kids play outside with sidewalk chalk, on the trampoline, and on their bikes. I vacuumed out the car the day before yesterday and decided that it was time the shovel be put away off the front porch and into the garage. Mind you, this will mark time #3 I decided to put the shovel away for the year. Continue Reading →
I have never been an extreme couponer as it is very likely that the majority of those coupons are not very healthy. However, I still look for the deals and cheaper items when I am at the store. There are some brands that I absolutely will not buy generic of, but for the most part I will buy the less expensive product.
I know the store cards are a joke as anyone can have one, but they are a great store “ploy” to make you think like you are saving some money. I guess some people don’t get the cards so they do pay more, but if there is a way to save a few $$$ I sign up for the card…why not?
So the local Meijer store has started their M-Perks program. This is how they do their store coupons. Meaning you have to go on-line and actually clip the coupons you want. This sounds like a good idea, at first, but here is why I have not been so successful with using the M-Perks program. Continue Reading →
I thought I would share two EatSmart scale reviews I did on my Healthy Journey blog. Both ran giveaways, but they are over. But sharing is what I do so if you are in the market for a bathroom scale or a kitchen scale then you may want to check out these two blog links.
I have recently dropped my FitWorks gym membership and started doing my workouts at the local YMCA. Not that I did not like FitWorks, it just made more sense since the kiddos are starting to do a lot of sports at the Y. They offer discounts for members so in the long run it is cheaper.
OK so I took the kids into the mat room after my workout a couple weeks ago. It is a fun room full of all different sizes and types of mats for the kids to build things, jump in, or whatever. The whole floor is covered with a mat too so they can have a lot of fun and not get too hurt, if they get hurt at all. Continue Reading →
I was looking into buying Monster Jam Tickets and as I went in to select my seats I saw something that really bugs me.
It is nice to have Internet access to see the seating plan and what is available, I love that, however there is something that I don’t like. I did not like it so much that I called and bought my tickets over the phone.
When Facebook came out I honestly did not understand the reason for it but as I got into it I learned to like the features. The biggest thing was that I was able to reconnect with tons of people in my life, especially form the past. I grew up in Canada and Utah until 2001 so it really got me connected with a lot of old friends and long distance family. However, in the past few years I have come to a point of not loving it anymore. I think that people depend on it too much. It is rather frustrating, as for some, it is the only way they communicate and that is a “downer” for me. Continue Reading →
Feed burner, every once in a while, will pull and old blog post and e-mail it as new. Not sure why it does this but it did it yesterday again with the 12-days of Christmas giveaway that has ended. Sorry if you got this…again! I have deleted the past giveaway posts so it should not happen again!
MEN…If you are not going to keep it up, then don’t do it, in the beginning. What am I talking about? Many things actually.Let me step back for a minute. I got into this “talk” with my husband this past week. What inspired the conversation was the phone call he gave me earlier this week and he said to me…”do you want me to put gas in the cat before I come home, the car needs it?” OK so let me set the stage. It is 29 degrees outside and on the day he called we had also had 4 inches of snow. “DUH!” Yes put gas in the damn car, your in it now fill it! I don’t know how many times, since we have been married he has brought the stupid car home without gas in it, and I mean GAS LIGHT ON! OK so here is my plea to all married AND single men out there… Continue Reading →
